Background

Diarrhea is one of the most common clinical diseases, characterized by symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and fever. Infections of the small intestine often present with watery diarrhea, whereas infections of the large intestine frequently involve bloody stools, among other varied symptoms. It can be caused by multiple pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and parasites.

Introduction

This product is designed for the qualitative detection of diarrheal pathogens in human fecal samples, including: bacteria and parasites.

Bacteria: Campylobacter jejuni, Campylobacter coli, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio vulnificus, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus cereus, Clostridioides difficile, Yersinia enterocolitica, Aeromonas hydrophila, Cronobacter spp. (C. sakazakii), Clostridium perfringens, Proteus mirabilis.

Parasites: Cryptosporidium spp., Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia, Cyclospora cayetanensis.

Results are for research use only and must not be used for clinical diagnosis. Use only with the company's Nucleic Acid Chip Analyzer (BHF-VI).
