Background
Trace elements are one of the six essential nutrients. Although the body requires them in small amounts, they are fundamental to nutritional health and play a crucial role in maintaining overall well-being. By testing human trace elements, one can accurately assess the balance of essential elements in the body, providing a reliable basis for health assessment, disease diagnosis, and treatment monitoring. Trace element testing is especially valuable in maternal and child health, child growth and development, and the diagnosis and treatment of regionally prevalent element-deficiency diseases.
In recent years, ICP-MS technology has gained wide application due to its ultra-high detection sensitivity, excellent analytical specificity, and broad elemental coverage, allowing for the precise quantification of various trace elements in the human body.
This product utilizes Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), where high-frequency radio signals generate high-temperature plasma to ionize the sample. The mass spectrometer then detects the mass and intensity of the ions to determine the elemental content within the sample.
It quantitatively detects seven elements (Lithium, Phosphorus, Copper, Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron) in human Serum samples.
Sample type: Serum
Detection range: Quantitative measurement of Lithium, Phosphorus, Copper, Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium and Iron levels
