Background

Diarrhea is one of the most common clinical diseases, characterized by symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and fever. Infections of the small intestine often present with watery diarrhea, whereas infections of the large intestine frequently involve bloody stools, among other varied symptoms. It can be caused by multiple pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Parasites and fungi account for a notable yet often overlooked proportion of diarrheal pathogens, posing diagnostic challenges.

Introduction

This product is designed for the qualitative detection of diarrheal viruses in human fecal samples, including: Entamoeba histolytica, Cyclospora cayetanensis, Giardia lamblia, Cryptosporidium spp., Candida spp., Mucorales (mucormycetes).

Results are for research use only and must not be used for clinical diagnosis. Use only with the company's Automatic Real-time Fluorescent Nucleic Acid Cartridge  Analyzer(BHQ-III).
